I’ll Be Home For Christmas: Building The Church in Bubuieci

In the village of Bubuieci a growing congregation is anticipating being in their first church “home” by this Christmas. We have worked hard this fall, with teams from Montana and Minnesota, to get the new construction project far enough along to start being used. We are so close…all that is needed now is the doors and windows. If you can help with a generous donation at this time we can get this church family in their new facility and HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!

Fire Burns Down Roof

After three years of hard work, sacrificial giving and a lot of blood , sweat and tears the new village church in Mihaileni Noi was completed. It was this month they celebrated their first service. On Wednesday, of this past week, I received a call about a fire that destroyed most of the building. Three years in building, one day in destroying…the congregation is devastated. When you have a fire in the village there is no fire station to call, it’s just everyone trying to bring buckets of water from the well as fast as they can. They just couldn’t be fast enough. The blaze had its way. Sadly, there is no fire insurance company to call to file a claim and help pay for the damage. You just try and regroup and start over. We had been working in this area the whole month of October. A Convoy of Hope intern team was here and we focused our ministry on Mihaileni Noi and the surrounding villages. As a result, this one hits a lot closer to home. I would like to ask that you remember the church in Mihaileni Noi in prayer at this time. Prayer for encouragement, faith and victory in the midst of this challenge. Moldovan believers know how to depend on God…many times he is all they have. God will show himself faithful again. The cost to rebuild is estimated at $20,000. If you would like to help with this important need you can designate project # 13119 in your giving or contact me personally. In the midst of our construction work we also held the first children’s evangelism day on October 10th. Over 200 children enjoyed games, balloons, puppets, prizes and heard about God’s love.

Building The Church in Bubuieci

The church in Bubuieci, Moldova is over 10 years old but has never had their own building to meet in. At the present time they meet in an overcrowded house. This past year a $40,000 piece of property was miraculously donated by a lady in the village. We are now working hard to build the church for this growing congregation.

In September, New Life Church from Princeton, Minnesota sent a team of 11 to help with the work in Bubuieci. In one week the team made a huge impact as the floor and the walls are being completed.

We are workers together in God!

In October we have another team coming from Montana to continue work on the Bubuieci church. We are hoping to get the church far enough along so that they can begin meeting in their new facility before winter. As well, will be organizing a Convoy of Hope outreach during this time. Any gifts toward the work in Bubuieci will go a long way and be greatly appreciated.
